The apartment
A furnished penthouse with a balcony, a living space, a kitchen and a bathroom, with fibre Wi-Fi and a smart TV, and linen, towels and kitchen equipment supplied. The balcony gives you outdoor space in the middle of town, which is rare in a let of this length. It suits a visiting academic with a partner and a child for a term, or a company placing two colleagues who would each rather not live in a hotel room for three months.
The building
The Coast Hotel is next door to The Pebbles Hotel, with a lift to the top floor and free parking on site; the bay is in your arrival instructions. Below the penthouse are the building's double and family rooms, studios and one-bedroom apartments. Residents have free use of the 24-hour gym and games room at The Shore House Hotel, about five minutes on foot. Check-in is from 15:00, check-out by 10:00.
The location
The Lower Gardens and the Central Gardens run from the pier up through the town, a green walk for anyone heading to the centre, fifteen to twenty minutes away. West Cliff Beach is six to seven minutes on foot and Bournemouth Pier fifteen. Westbourne's delis and cafés are ten minutes west. Bournemouth's two universities and the direct train to London Waterloo in under two hours make it a practical base for a term of research or a long project. The Bournemouth area page covers the town.
How a stay works
There is one penthouse, so availability depends on dates. The minimum stay is 28 nights and there is no fixed term: extend month by month, subject to availability. Rent covers electricity, gas, water, fibre Wi-Fi, council tax, the TV licence, parking and the gym, and a standard cleaning and security deposit is the only other payment. Lovely and cosy apartment in the centre
Lovely and cosy apartment in the centre of Bournemouth, and managing to still be quiet. Close to the train station (and buses), big Asda superstore, town centre, park and the beach. I have stayed so far in 2 different apartments in the same building on 2 separate occasions. Both, lovely decorated, with everything one may need for a short or longer stay. A kind of apartment you just want to stay in the whole day! I would definitely recommend.
