Flexie Estate Agents finds, references and moves in tenants for landlords in Bransgore, the Hampshire village on the edge of the New Forest north-east of Christchurch. We can then collect the rent or manage the house fully. Homes here are cottages, bungalows and family houses with gardens, and they let to people who want a village, the forest and the coast within a short drive.
This page is the Bransgore detail of our letting agents service. The village is described on estate agents in Bransgore.
What lets in Bransgore
- Cottages near the village centre. Close to the pubs, the bakery and the post office. Couples and single tenants who want village life.
- Bungalows. Level homes with gardens, popular with older tenants who want the pharmacy and shops within reach.
- Family houses. Three and four bedrooms with gardens, on small estates and older roads, let to families who want the primary school.
- Houses with land. Towards Thorney Hill and the forest, let to riders and to tenants who want space for dogs and outdoor life.
Applicants ask first about parking, the garden, broadband speed and the drive to Christchurch, the station and their work.
How we let a Bransgore home
The instant rent estimate gives a first figure; a visit confirms a rent range with reasons. We photograph the home and the setting, draw a floor plan, and send the listing to applicants registered with us for the Christchurch and New Forest area, then to the portals.
Viewings are accompanied, the holding deposit is capped at one week's rent, and every adult is referenced for identity, Right to Rent, credit, income and a previous landlord. At move in, the tenancy agreement follows the Renters' Rights Act, the deposit is protected within 30 days, and the prescribed information, the How to Rent guide and the certificates are served, with a photographed inventory.
The checks, with a rural twist
Every let needs a gas safety certificate where there is gas, an electrical installation condition report no more than five years old, smoke alarms on each storey, a carbon monoxide alarm by any fixed combustion appliance, an EPC of band E or better, and Right to Rent checks. In Bransgore add the rural items: oil boiler servicing, a carbon monoxide alarm near a wood burner, septic tank emptying, and any private water supply. HMO licensing is New Forest District Council's. The landlord legal checklist has the full list.
Other ways to let
A furnished Bransgore house can earn through long term lets in Bransgore or winter lets in Bransgore, when walkers and visiting families take forest homes. Once a tenant is in, property management in Bransgore carries on. If you are weighing a sale, see selling your property in Bransgore and property valuation in Bransgore. We let across the town and its villages: letting agents in Christchurch.
The Bransgore property market
Bransgore is a Hampshire village north-east of Christchurch that straddles the New Forest National Park boundary, with most of the village outside it. Cottages, detached houses and bungalows with gardens rent and sell to families, retirees, riders and walkers who want the open forest close by and Christchurch and the coast a short drive south.
Bransgore lets to people who want a village and the forest. Families relocating to the Christchurch side of the New Forest want a house with a garden and the village primary school. Older tenants want a bungalow near the shops, the pharmacy and the post office. Riders and dog walkers want a home near the open forest at Thorney Hill and Holmsley. Few homes come up, and tenancies tend to run for years.
Three local points shape a let here.
Different council. Bransgore is in Hampshire and New Forest District, not BCP. New Forest District Council handles HMO licensing and council tax for a Bransgore let, so a landlord used to BCP's rules in Christchurch should check the district's instead.
The National Park. Part of the village is inside the New Forest National Park. That affects planning, not letting, but a landlord who wants to extend or convert before letting must check which authority decides.
Rural services. Some homes towards the forest have oil heating, septic tanks or private water. Each needs its own servicing and goes on the compliance list.
Who rents and buys in Bransgore
- Families who want space and the forest. Larger gardens, village schooling and the forest on the doorstep draw families relocating to the Christchurch side of the New Forest, as tenants and as buyers.
- Retirees and downsizers. Bungalows in a village with its own shops, pubs and pharmacy, a short drive from Christchurch and the coast, suit people retiring from towns and cities further away.
- Riders, walkers and dog owners. Houses with land or paddocks near Thorney Hill, and homes a short walk from the open forest, are bought and rented by people who keep horses or walk the forest every day.
- Second home buyers. The forest and the coast within one short drive bring second home buyers. New Forest District Council's 100% council tax premium on furnished second homes, at the time of writing, now weighs on that decision.
Let furnished, from 28 nights, all year round.
A furnished flat in Bransgore does not have to sit on a twelve-month tenancy or empty from November. Through the group's platform, Flexiestays, it can be let to contractors, relocations, hospital staff and visiting families for a month or more at a time.
- Stays of a month to several months
- Guests looking for somewhere to live, not a holiday
- Fills the gaps between tenancies and summers

Our fees in fullLetting agents in Bransgore: questions
Who rents in Bransgore?
Families relocating to the Christchurch side of the New Forest, older couples looking for a bungalow in a village with its own shops, and people who ride or walk the forest daily. Contractors and people between homes take furnished houses for shorter periods.
Which council's rules apply to a Bransgore let?
New Forest District Council's, in Hampshire. It handles HMO licensing and council tax for a Bransgore property. BCP Council's rules apply in nearby Christchurch and Walkford but not here. Check the district council's licensing pages for any shared house.
My Bransgore house has oil heating and a septic tank. Can it be let?
Yes. Oil boilers need regular servicing, and a carbon monoxide alarm is required where there is a fixed combustion appliance. Septic tanks and treatment plants need emptying and must meet the general binding rules. We add each to the compliance calendar and tell the tenant how they work.
What letting services do you offer in Bransgore?
Tenant find, rent collection and fully managed. All three include the valuation, marketing, viewings, referencing, a tenancy agreement written to the Renters' Rights Act and deposit protection. Fees are confirmed in writing before you instruct us.
Can a tenant keep a horse at my Bransgore property?
Only if the tenancy says so. Land or a paddock let with the house should be described in the agreement, with who maintains fences, water and grazing. Commoning and forest grazing rights are separate and are not ours to grant, so take advice before including them.

Outstanding from start to finish
The apartment exceeded our expectations with its modern design and thoughtful touches throughout. Walking distance to both the seafront and shopping areas made it incredibly convenient. Clear instructions, responsive host. Would absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Bournemouth.
Modern, clean and superbly located
Lovely apartment in very close proximity to Bournemouth town centre and beach. Modern, very clean and well equipped. Onsite parking was a big plus, making it easy to explore the area. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay.
Second stay, and we'll be back
Great apartment at a perfect location. Jack and the team were so easy to deal with. This is our second time at this apartment block and we'll definitely be returning. Clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
